Job Description:

Harleysville corporate office is looking to hire a customer service representative. This position interacts with customers to provide and process information and orders in response to inquiries, concerns and request about products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Interact with customers and sale representatives.

- Review, enter and ship customer orders.

- Generate shipping list via e-mail with customer specifics for shipping.

- Generate pick list from Mapics for shipping.

- Assign customer numbers, perform customer credit checks, and work with/through accounting department to establish credit ratings and credit limits for new business.

- Coordinate complaints, initialize and send responses from Complaint clerks.

- Enter and process RGA's and credit memo's for returned products.

- Complete quote forms after approval from Sales and send to the Customer.

- Attend kick off meetings with Project Managers for orders placed on new projects

- Initiate change controls.

- Initiate trackers for changes to customer simple packaging specifications and part numbers, but formal specifications require a change control.

- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.

- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.

Education and/or Experience

- HS diploma at a minimum. One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Excellent communication skills -- both written and verbal.

- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize customer service activities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Outlook.

- AS400/Mapics knowledge preferred.
