Job Description Job Description A growing organization is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. This role is centered on month-end close, corporate accounting, and providing support to project accounting functions as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong operational accounting foundations and experience working within construction, architecture, engineering, or other project-based environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute components of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage core corporate accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Support project accounting functions by collaborating with project managers and operational teams to ensure proper cost tracking and reporting. Maintain and enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation. Assist with audits, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives. Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and scaling accounting operations. Qualifications 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or project-based industries preferred, but not required. Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred (active or in process), and a background in public accounting is desirable! Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate accounting practices. Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel; experience in project-based ERP systems is a plus.
