H&K Group, Inc., a cornerstone in construction materials provision since 1968, seeks a skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team. This role requires precise operation of excavators and other heavy machinery, contributing to a variety of projects such as roadworks, site development, and large-scale construction endeavors in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a vital part of our operations, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standard of quality and safety H&K Group is known for. Operate excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks. Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required. Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored. Participate in routine maintenance. Practice workplace safety to ensure a safe environment for other workers and company assets. Work with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe on line and grade. Ensure proper handling and placement of other construction materials. Proven ability to operate an excavator and other construction-related heavy machinery. Understanding of computerized controls and electronics. Excellent coordination and mechanical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred. OSHA Safety Certification or equivalent. Any state-specific licenses required for heavy equipment operation.
