Job Description Job Description A well-recognized landscape firm
based in the New York City area is looking for a well qualified
Softscape Installation Foreman to specialize in the installation
and maintenance of exterior softscapes. Join a team that has been
setting industry standards for over 50 years! Responsibilities
Understand the job responsibilities for each day and prepare crews
accordingly. Schedule and monitor crews daily through tracking
software. Carefully oversee the loading and unloading of trucks
with tools and equipment for the day’s assignment. Operate
landscape equipment and machinery. Ensure Crews are operating
efficiently. Train crew members on proper techniques for planting,
pruning, edging, and other landscaping tasks. Manage all phases of
landscape installation and projects. Execute planting plans as per
architectural drawings. Install plants efficiently. Ability to
quantify material effectively, and work within time constraints.
Complete projects from conception to completion. Manage crews in a
way that achieves maximum productivity. Typically 3 crews of 3
people each. Requirements Highly professional Reliable Must be
bilingual (English / Spanish) Clean driving record – CDL is a plus!
Knowledge of landscaping, annuals, perennials, grasses, trees, and
shrubs is a plus! Proper care of plant material and maintenance is
required. 5 plus years of experience in landscaping. Ability to
lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work in all weather conditions. Must be reliable,
knowledgeable, and have sufficient relevant experience. Must be
able to represent the company in a professional manner.
Compensation $25 - $30 per hour based on experience PTO, vacation,
holidays, 401(k), and more! 4 10-hour days with OT
opportunities
