Career Development Lead (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. -
Philadelphia, PA): At the direction of business management
director, coordinate operations of Career Development Committees
(CDCs), Principal Development Committees (PDCs) and core career
development administrative function to maintain excellence in the
operations of Career Development Committees and design future
improvements and innovations for operations in partnership with key
office leaders. Specific duties include: develop and set annual
calendar; manage CDC advisor cadre and preparation; own end-to-end
CDC meeting preparation; attend meetings and ensure adherence to
policy and governance; ensure dossier quality control, review
dossiers for accuracy, consistency, strength-based feedback, and
ensure post-meeting updates are made; oversee the triggering of
downward/upward evaluation requests; oversee maintenance of Career
Development database (eCD), update dollars led/managed, matrix, and
promotion pipeline; oversee preparation of materials and
drive/content and slide writing for key meetings; analyze report,
and prepare distribution of annual CD Advisor Survey Results;
prepare submissions to the region for promotions to Principal;
develop and manage database of advisees; ensure local CDC bodies
are informed of and operate consistently with NAMR CDC policy; pair
and confirm new consulting staff with CDC advisors, orchestrate and
communicate reassignments as needed; onboard new advisors for
A/C/PL CDCs via 1-on-1 small group sessions; collaborate with line
manager on developing, documenting, and establishing new policies,
approaches, and points of view; liaise with region on key issues
(data requests, policy inquiries, etc.), and participate in
regional CDC forums; ensure CDC operations reflect best practices
for Diversity & Inclusion; oversee preparation of review timeliness
reports; liaise with Recruiting, Staffing, and other functions as
it pertains to CDC; manage select additional responsibilities
related to career development processes; conduct ad hoc analysis
and reporting; and work with CFC heads and L&D leadership to
ensure CDC advisors receive training and coaching to ensure
effectiveness and encourage local innovation. Requires a Bachelor's
degree in business administration, human resources, training and
development, education or related field (will accept foreign
education equivalent) plus five (5) years of administrative support
experience including at least two (2) years of experience in human
resource career development operations and functions. Specific
skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not
applicable to this section) - must possess the following: (i)
investigating information from a variety of sources, analyzing,
interpreting, and summarizing data to prepare corresponding
communications related to a key pillar of employee value
propositions; (ii) coordinating and managing trainers, mentorship
programs and related materials for new hire and career development
training programs; (iii) supporting and maintaining files and
schedules for training, promotions and reviews of employees; (iv)
calibrating across functions and offices to ensure optimal success
of each of the various programs, promotion criteria and processes
related to career development; (v) managing operations and
functions, structuring work, and setting priorities related to the
employee career development lifecycles and business goals and
