Job Description:
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled
Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria,
Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center
in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program
management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate
is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure
management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction
management services in support of the US Department of Defense
(DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps)
missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the
world.The Web Developer will play a key role in helping the team to
accomplish outstanding projects. You will design, develop, and test
the software/program and meet the SLA, which is two months, with
the internal stakeholders. Your capability to develop a program
will be beneficial to the company as a whole.The IT Project Team is
small, with one senior developer and a manager who are always
available and open to communication. The culture of the team is
friendly, busy but promotes a good working relationship amongst
team members.Key responsibilities:
- Develop software solution, manage and maintain deployed
Planate's software and in-house systems
- Administer Corporate website and Web servers and conduct Web
systems health monitoring and reporting
- Perform technical writing, system documentation, or project
documentation
- Protects operations by keeping the information
confidential
- Collaborates with colleagues to meet departmental and company
goals/objectives
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis,
problem definition, requirements, solution development, and
proposed solutions
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing the
documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code
comments, and clear code
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing
system specifications, standards, and programming
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing
development and service issues
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs;
conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work
processes; investigating problem areas; following the software
development lifecycle
- Handles coordination and ensures completion of IT projects
within budget and timeline
- Monitor, summarize and report project progress to the IT
Department Head
- Identify processes/projects that can be automized
- Coordinate with internal resources and ensure availability and
execution for flawless completion of projects
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as
may be appropriate -Qualifications To be successful in the role: -
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering
- Minimum one year of experience as a Software
Developer/Programmer
- Must have mobile device development and Office 365 tools
experience, -preferred
- Knowledgeable in Web Programming and Database management and
Azure integration
- Advance skills in troubleshooting on programming and
debugging
- Microsoft Designing and Developing Applications certification
is an advantage
- Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries,
and ability to analyze the SQL data is desired
- Able to scope and estimate workload and timeline based on
requirements
- Competent in the following:
- Able to create custom applications on SharePoint
- MS PowerApps, MS Forms, MS Flows, PowerShell and PowerBI
- Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and
design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller
(MVC)
- With development experience using C# .NET
- Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#,
Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
- Must be motivated, independent, and self-sufficient. Able to
receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with
minimal supervision
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to communicate with people of different nationalities and
