Job description: Choice is actively seeking general labor
candidates for a food production company situated in Garden City,
NY. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in
contributing to the food industry. Title: General Labor Pay Rate:
$16.50 Shift: 1st shift and 3rd shift - Monday thru Saturday Duties
& Responsibilities: - This position requires training in the
operations process and in safety and sanitation areas - Must be
able to stand for several hours at a time Speed is an essential
element in this job - Ability to make a minimum of 15 (fifteen)
shells per minute - Filling trays with pasta shells and bringing
them to a machine that automatically dispenses the cheese;
otherwise, pasta shells will be distributed by a machine - The
employee must fill the shell with the cheese and place the shell on
a conveyor - All shell line employees are responsible for keeping
the production line and area clean - Shell line employees may work
in other areas of the factory when production needs necessitate -
Must follow the GMP, workplace rules, and the Supervisor's
directive, and be sure that all products meet our high standards
Qualifications: - Ability to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds -
Ability to stand for several hours at a time and walk from one
place to another - Ability to read and understand documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals Physical Demands: - The employee must be able to lift
and/or move up to 50 pounds - Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus - While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with
hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - The employee
is frequently required to walk and talk or listen to other
employees/line leaders/supervisors Required qualifications: -
Legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred
